With the Snack-Man, Zweifel has created an unmistakable eye-catcher that combines the classic arcade feeling with modern brand activation. Activation connects. The vending machine is not only a visual highlight, but also an interactive brand experience that can be used at numerous locations – from supermarkets to festivals – to create a unique brand experience. Visitors playfully connects with the Zweifel brand world. KESCH designed, implemented and managed the project as a comprehensive POS and event solution with a high recognition value.

Briefing

The aim of the project was to create an eye-catching, brand-appropriate POS and event solution that increases product interest, promotes playful interaction and creates a connection between consumers and the Zweifel brand. The KESCH solution: A portable, robust arcade machine with customizable game content, multilingualismproduct recommendation, score & high score function – including QR prize mechanism.

Gaming meets pleasure

The Snack-Man playfully translates the brand world of Zweifel into the digital world: from the product recommendation to the reward, the entire user journey is brought to life. The vending machine is modular and immediately attracts attention with its eye-catching design, light and sound elements.

Implementation

Technically, the Snack Man is based on a fully functional arcade machine with a 16:9 screen (portrait), joystick control, coin slot, loudspeakers, LED signage and backlit branding. Depending on the location (Coop, Migros or neutral), the game adapts to the product range.

The game is multilingual (German, French), there are various game modes (button press, coin slot, time limit or endless), and the machine can be customized according to the campaign. Setup, commissioning and support are comprehensively documented.

Implementation began with AI-supported design development for fast and precise mock-ups. Together with the agency “die Abteilung”, technical and visual details were finalized and the 1,500 kg headphone was produced. On site, the team integrated it into the Coke Music Area with audiovisual effects and automated activation. Challenges such as weather conditions and logistics were overcome by waterproof control systems and robust constructions.

The setup includes:

  • Welcome screen with CTA and animation
  • Product questionnaire (age, gender, snack type)
  • Personalized snack recommendation (4 products)
  • Mini-game (Pac-Man style): Collect snack packs, avoid opponents
  • End screen with QR code and score
  • Give-away mechanism: Packs of chips or goodies from a certain score
  • Data logging via USB stick & high score evaluation

Result

The Snack-Man is a complete success in POS and event marketing:
