The world needs more Santas: Coca-Cola Christmas truck tour with a total of 56 stops in Austria and Switzerland

We are delighted that this year we were able to implement our pet project, the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour, entirely on our own. With a record result: we organized 20 stops in Austria and 36 stops in Switzerland with a total of more than 180,000 enthusiastic visitors. Did you know that the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour has been an annual tradition since 1995 to bring people together at Christmas time?

In addition to the original Coca-Cola Santa Claus, guests were also able to experience personalized cans with their name and photo, a VR sleigh ride and a postcard station. New this year was the Coca-Cola merch stand, where cool Coke merchandise could be purchased for a good cause. The proceeds went to the Ronald McDonald Children’s Charity Austria.

Coke sees the Christmas truck as a very striking asset that should appeal to a broad target group. The aim was to design the activities in such a way as to offer appealing experiences for all guests. Furthermore, trading partners should be involved as well as cities and municipalities. After the comeback of the truck tour in year 2022, was tthe focus of the Tour 2024 was to take the event with all its challenges and specifications to a new level and to inspire even more people – with success!

Implementation

The concept was based on years of experience with the truck tour. One of the cornerstones was the safety and traffic concept, which was created individually for each stop in cooperation with the authorities, law enforcement and organizations such as the volunteer fire departments and stewarding services and implemented extremely successfully.

Experiences and highlights on site

In addition to the arrival of the Christmas truck – the highlight for many – numerous attractions awaited the guests on site. The Christmas card photo frame provided opportunities for a souvenir of the visit. After the truck drove in, there was a small grandstand at the front of the truck, which allowed for unhindered selfies with Coca-Cola Santa’s vehicle.

In addition to personalized cans (name and photo), Coca-Cola Santa Claus also had a virtual reality sled with him, which could be “flown” for a spin. In addition, the Visitors:inside in addition to the attractions mentioned with cool Coke merch or buy it for their loved ones for Christmas. The ChristmasSanta’s post office was there again there and also a choir, accompanied many a tour stop and provided musical the Christmas spirit.
