Festival Brand Experience with a difference: Hornbach rolls the wheelbarrow into the spotlight

No big promotional stand, no simple product distributions – but real added value for festival guests. KESCH activated a smart solution for HORNBACH at the Woodstock der Blasmusik and the FM4 Frequency Festival: branded wheelbarrows as transportation aids. Simple, useful and unforgettable.

The idea: Let’s give people what they really need – a cool transportation aid!

Briefing

How do you bring festival visitors into contact with a brand? The aim was to integrate HORNBACH into everyday festival life in an approachable and surprising way – with an activation tool that not only stands out, but is also really needed.

Facts:

  • 450 branded chests of drawers in use
  • Helpers on site provided additional support in setting up the tent

Implementation

A useful brand experience can be that simple:

– Grab your wheelbarrow at our collection points
– put your stuff on it and off to the tent
– bring it back and party away!

Experience:
In addition to transportation, guests used the chests of drawers creatively: as a mobile ice box, seating or even for crowd surfing – which provided additional social media reach and countless shared festival moments.

Result

The activation struck a chord with the target group: thousands of used display chests, high visibility at both festivals and a strong emotional anchor for HORNBACH. A brand experience that not only stood out, but also made life easier for the festival guests – and was remembered for a long time.
