The mission was clear: Ea casual party for ca. 5.000 employeesemployees from the entire A1 Group!

After 2018, the time had finally come again and A1 invited all its employees to a joint Christmas party – and KESCH was allowed to plan and organize this Xmas party as a green event. In addition KESCH also planned and coordinated the entire travel management so that all guests from all over Austria could get to the event and back home safely and on time. home.

Briefing

After 2013, 2016 and 2018, this is the fourth joint A1 Christmas party since the merger in 2010. The 2020 and 2022 dates were prevented by the coronavirus pandemic. There was a virtual Christmas party in 2020, which was very well received. In 2022, employees were already bored with online events and no further virtual celebrations were held.

It is an inhomogeneous target group with different prerequisites and correspondingly different needs and preferences. The various dimensions such as age, origin, education, etc. must be taken into account.

The aim is to organize an exuberant party for around 5,000 employees from the entire A1 Group – taking into account a central location that is easily accessible to the public and organizing the entire event as a green event.

Austria’s biggest Christmas party

Implementation

For the big A1 Christmas party, the Marx Halle in Vienna was bathed in Christmas spirit and all guests of the A1 Group were invited to the big party.

Almost 5,000 A1 employees came from all over Austria, who traveled to the event in a carbon-neutral way by train and collected shuttle buses as part of a green event. The complete travel management incl. hotel room coordination was planned and implemented by KESCH. As a result, around 1,600 train tickets and more than 1,200 hotel rooms were booked.

But before the guests arrived, the location still had to be prepared. Over two days of construction, the location was transformed into a Christmas party area, with tens of kilometers of cables, tons of rigging, sound and lighting technology, over 700 tables, more than 3,000 bar stools, more than 60 meters of bar, the largest disco ball in Austria, a separate disco area for more than 2,000 partying party people, over 100 meters of exhibition walls, carpets, Christmas trees and much more…

But everything was ready in time for the start of the party and the guests were able to arrive.

At the reception, the hostesses welcomed the almost 5,000 guests and checked them in for the event. Walking acts (Christmas stilt walkers and jugglers) accompanied the guests to the checkroom and reception and were a very popular photo opportunity. More than 300 waiters and waitresses then took care of the guests’ physical well-being and refreshments. After a speech and welcome by moderator Elke Rock and the two CEOs of A1 (Marcus Grausam, CEO A1 Austria and Alejandro Plater, CEO A1 Group), the event continued with culinary delights at the buffet and the selected food trucks. The live band Electric Beat Club provided the musical entertainment and from 9.30 pm the disco opened and 2:tagesbart really got the guests going and they partied together until the end.

Result

Almost 5,000 guests celebrated cheerfully and exuberantly at the joint A1 Christmas party until late into the night.
